ECONOMY INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION

PIG IRON CASTING
MACHINES

Since 1914, Economy Industrial and its predecessors have been the leading producer of pig iron casting machines in the United States.

During the 1950's, over 70% of the merchant iron produced in the U.S. was cast on its casting machines.

In our over 80 year history, we have supplied machines to progressive metal producers in North, Central, and South American, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

During the 1990's both new pig casting machines installed in the U.S.A. were designed and built by Economy, one at  Mansbach Metal Co. in Ashland, KY, (serving A-K Steel's Ashland Works) and one at USS/Kobe Steel in Lorain, OH.

In 1998, a 100 metric ton per hour machine was installed at Iscor Steel, in Pretoria, South Africa.
